The Heat of Summer 4 - Retamarama
The semi desert, the long hot summer swelters on, the swallows swoop above the retamas, catching bugs, cooling off in the heights. A golden sun sizzles in a deep blue sky that bleaches to the horizon.
Pen and ink and watercolours on tea bag paper. A mirage of denim water mingles with the baked red earth. A disk of crochet reflections of the sun and tiny bright yellow french knots of the last surviving flowers.
